Shooting Tips & Grading Instructions

For best results I recommend to use the built-in iPhone camera app and underexpose (using the exposure adjustment tool) by -0.7 stops.

iPhone 15 Pro only: Enable ProRes LOG in the settings and in your preferred video editing software apply the included 'Apple LOG' versions of the LUTs. Alternatively you can use the conversion LUT first and then apply the creative look LUT sequentially. From there make small exposure, contrast, and whitebalance adjustments

All other iPhones or smartphones: Shoot in the standard image and your editing software apply the REC 709 LUT of your choosing.

TIP: You can also use 3rd party apps like the Blackmagic Camera app (free) or FilmicPro ($) to record your videos and have more control over exposure settings. These apps also allow non iPhone 15 user to shoot in some sort of flat image profile. Please note that if it is not Apple LOG the conversion may not work as well.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: I broke down my process on how to shoot engaging videos on an iPhone. Watch the tutorial here.

These are 65-point high resolution LUTs, if they should not work in your editing programme (like LumaFusion) use the included 33-point LUTs.
