The City of New London treats, tests, and distributes high quality drinking water to you and the community. Water provided by the City of New London is lead-free when it leaves our treatment plant; however, its quality may change as the water flows through the distributing water service lines and in-home plumbing and fixtures that may contain lead. The City of New London takes the issue of lead in drinking water very seriously and to guarantee continued protection of our communities, the City is proactively advancing a program for lead service line education, inventory, and replacement with the use of state funding to lower the burden of costs on private homeowners.
A Public Open House will be held on January 4, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Congregate Room of the New London Senior Center (120 Broad Street (rear), New London, CT 06320) or virtually on Zoom. Please join us to learn more about the upcoming program! All those attending in person must wear a mask for COVID-19 precautions.
