American Indians Against Abuse (AIAA), End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin, and Brighter Days welcome you to join us in person, as we welcome keynote speakers Jeremy Nevilles-Sorell and Greg Grey Cloud from Wica Agli. Greg and Jeremy have been at the forefront of the move to reclaim healthy masculinity: healing communities by healing men.
A panel conversation, Recognizing and Supporting Victims of Human Trafficking, will take place with the Human Trafficking Capacity Building Center, the Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force, and the Wisconsin Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) Task Force. We will discuss recognizing the signs of human trafficking, specific considerations for human trafficking in Native communities, developing a collaborative, multi-disciplinary response, and supporting victims in their healing journey. Additionally, attendees will learn about no-cost resources to support their anti-trafficking work.
This event will include a cultural celebration with members of the Sokaogon Chippewa Community, Mole Lake Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. With art and ceremony we will also remember and honor those we have lost in recent years.
