The Return To Learn Howe team is working hard to prepare for the 2020-21 school year. The health and safety of our students and staff remain at the forefront of our planning and decisions. As the health climate of our area continues to fluctuate, we are offering three options for enrollment for the 2020-21 school year. Please review the options below, and indicate your preference for your student(s) currently enrolled at Howe Public Schools. We greatly appreciate your continued support and confidence in HPS teachers and staff. Please do not hesitate to contact your child(ren)'s Principal for questions you may have, or leave your comments/questions below.
Option 1: Traditional classroom setting inside our school (incorporating Oklahoma State Department of Education's Return To Learn framework).
Option 2: Is a combination of online and on-site to help our students and families who may deal with intermittent health concerns. Blended learning has been available at Howe Public Schools pre-COVID-19, and can also provide a personalized-learning plan for students preferring this option. Student would need high-quality internet connectivity, assistance may be provided. (Student may participate in school-sponsored athletics or extracurricular activities as long as student is enrolled in one hour during the regularly scheduled school day on on-campus during that class period.)
Option 3: Is a 100% online/virtual learning environment outside our school facilities, managed and delivered by Howe Public Schools. Student would need high-quality internet connectivity, assistance may be provided.
All three options provide 24/7 online access to submitted/and or graded assignments and are led by HPS certified teachers. (This form allows for submissions of up to four students in your household. If you have additional students, please complete a 2nd form and submit.)
Please note: The OK State Dept of Education has produced a framework to help guide schools as they plan for the 2020-21 school year. You can find the document here:
https://sde.ok.gov/newsblog/2020-06-03/school-reopening-framework-released-state-department-education The framework is JUST SUGGESTIONS, and each district in the state will decide what suggestions work best for their schools.
