SkyWorld proudly presents #Dare2Dance 2018, designed for kids! For this competition, participants are invited to flaunt their dance talents on stage. The sky’s the limit when it comes to dance, so we’re definitely looking forward to receiving a variety of entries. This competition is opened to all children aged 12 and below, born after 1st January 2006.
Here’s how to join:
1) Complete the google form here:

i) Insert video link (Instagram video, YouTube or Facebook Link) in this google form OR
ii) Whatsapp your video to 014-600 0003 (Alan) after you have filled up the form OR
iii) Post your video on the event page here:
https://www.facebook.com/events/2062776897301329/3) Selected finalists will be contacted to perform on the day of the event.
4) Dance styles allowed include Traditional, Modern, Street dance, K-Pop Dance Cover, Salsa, Hip Hop or even a combination of a few.
Shortlisted participants will be invited to perform live on 1st July 2018 at SkyMeridien [ Waze/Google location: SkyMeridien @ SENTUL]
Prizes:
RM2,000 (Champion);
RM1,000 (1st Runner-Up);
RM500 (2nd Runner-Up) and
RM100 x 5 Consolation prizes
NOTE: All finalists will walk home with a participation medal
Rules & Regulations:
1. This competition is opened to performers performing solo OR as a group of not more than SIX (6) persons.
2. Each participant is only allowed to perform ONE (1) time during the competition. Any participant who participates in more than one performance will disqualify for BOTH performances.
3. This competition is open to all nationality.
4. Participants are expected to keep their costumes at a respectful and tasteful level. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any participant that they deem to have dressed inappropriately for this family-friendly competition.
5. Should music be used as a part of the performance, they must not contain profanities, and any racial, political or religious messages. The Organiser has the right to reject the music of any participant without prior notice.
6. Participants will be judged based on the following criteria:
(i) Entertainment Value (“Is this interesting?”) – 20%
(ii) Creativity/Originality (“Have I seen this before?”) – 20%
(iii) Showmanship (e.g. poise, eye contact, mannerisms, appearance, etc.) – 20%
(iv) Difficulty of Technique (“Could the average person do this?”) – 20%
(v) Overall Performance (“Is it aesthetically pleasing?”) – 20%
7. Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence on scoring will be entertained.
8. These Rules & Regulations are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Organiser.
