Our mission is to foster educated, prosperous, and sustainable communities through impactful interventions in Education, Skill & Livelihood, Agriculture, and Environmental Conservation. We have been actively working towards a sustainable environment and livelihood enablement in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, particularly in the Nanded district, since 1992. This integrated approach addresses critical challenges such as water scarcity, soil erosion, and ecological degradation. By implementing various strategies, including Watershed Development, Soil & Water Conservation (SWC) measures, afforestation, livelihood generation, and community organising, we aim to achieve long-term well-being for both the environment and local communities. About the Job: SSM is looking for dynamic, energetic interns who are interested in the Natural Resource Management sector. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about the Projects and work with the experts in the field. The interns will be working closely with our team to conduct fieldwork, research, capture data, and coordinate with teams for project implementation. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: The primary responsibility of these interns would be to assist in: • Data analysis, Report writing, and other project collaterals • Support the project team in undertaking research and documentation, developing concept notes and communication materials towards the implementation of the project. • Interact with line departments and provide support for convergence. • Help in identification and documentation of best practices across thematic areas relevant to the project. • Develop and ensure timely submission of Quarterly Progress Reports, Annual Progress Reports. • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the Project Manager. 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝:  • Sound understanding of current issues related to environment, conservation and livelihood.  • Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and other communication material for providing progress updates to different stakeholders.  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coordinate with different stakeholders. • Good team player and ability to adapt to change in work environment. • Commitment and dedication to work. • Candidate should have experience working with MS Office (Doc, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
