They are organized by theme, and, in the case of the gray hymnal, are also chock-full of interesting readings. Song                                       Faith of the Larger Liberty (No. 287 in gray hymnal)

words: Vincent Silliman; music: Bohemian Brethren, Kirchengesang

Faith of the larger liberty, source of the light expanding,

Law of the church that is to be, old bondage notwithstanding:

Faith of the free! By thee we live—

By all thou givest and shalt give

our loyalty commanding.

Heroes of faith in every age, far seeing, self-denying,

Wrought an increasing heritage, monarch and creed defying.

Faith of the free! In thy dear name

the costly heritage we claim:

Their living and their dying.

Faith for the people everywhere, whatever their oppression,

Of all who make the world more fair, living their faith's confession:

Faith of the free! Whate'er our plight,

thy law, thy liberty,  thy light

shall be our blest possession.

There is more love somewhere.

There is more love somewhere.

I’m gonna keep on ‘til I find it.

There is more love somewhere.

There is more hope somewhere…

There is more peace somewhere...

There is more joy somewhere…

Song                                With Heart and Mind (No. 300 in gray hymnal)

                                        words: Alicia Carpenter, © 1990

music: Johann Hermann Schein, harmony by J. S. Bach

With heart and mind and voice and hand

May we this time and place transcend

To make our purpose understood:

A mortal search for mortal good,

A firm commitment to the goal

Of justice, freedom, peace for all.

A mind that’s free to seek the truth;

A mind that’s free in age and youth

To choose a path no threat impedes,

Wherever light of conscience leads.

Our martyrs died so we could be

A church where every mind is free.

A heart that’s kind, a heart whose search

Makes Love the spirit of our church,

Where we can grow, and each one’s gift

Is sanctified, and spirits lift,

Where every door is open wide

For all who choose to step inside.

Chalice Extinguishing

Postlude                                         Promenade, Beach                        Veronika Agranov-Dafoe

Benediction                                                                            All

Please check that your audio and video are enabled.

Go out into the world in peace

Be of good courage

Hold fast to what is good

Return no one evil for evil

Strengthen the faint-hearted

Support the weak

Help the suffering

Rejoice in beauty

Speak love with word and deed

Honor all beings.
