B.Tech. with Honours

Honours in B.Tech. degree option will help the students to get more in-depth knowledge in the specialized domain.

The students shall earn 164 credits in various course categories and additional 18 to 20 credits in the specialized track / area courses in that programme by satisfying the prerequisite





B.Tech. with Minor

Students have an option to do Minor in emerging areas offered by other Departments / Schools. This choice will help the students to get knowledge in cross domain and to enhance the employability skills.

The students shall earn 164 credits in various course categories and additional 18 to 20 credits in the specialized track / area from other Branches / Schools by satisfying the prerequisite courses for the award of degree of B.Tech. programme with Minor.

Opportunity to learn Foreign Languages at Vel Tech

Eligibility

Passed 10, +2 examination with Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechonology / Technical Vocational subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship.

Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Passed min.3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

(The University will offer suitable bridget courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to achive desired learning outcomes of the programme)
