Talenti Gelato bought The Kroger Co.’s ice cream production facility in Marietta, Ga., and will add 100 jobs, the Cobb Chamber reported Wednesday.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Minneapolis-based Talenti will relocate its primary production headquarters to the Marietta Industrial Park and begin production later this year.
The Cobb Chamber said Talenti is the best-selling gelato and third-best selling premium ice cream in America. Talenti makes about 20 flavors and is carried in most national supermarkets and food retailers, including Kroger, Publix, Whole Foods Market, The Fresh Market, Target and Ingles.
