We invited Fahd on to share his view on the perspectives and psychological changes you go through being your parents "translator" and the "in between" your parents reality, and the reality of the country you live in.

🚀 COL 2 kicks off with Funmi helping us speak on mental health. He highlights some of the common misconceptions about mental health challenges, we share our stories and experiences on our own journeys and we end discussing the work Funmi is doing to help create safe spaces and demystify this topic.

On this episode we try to understand what good character is and why it matters to us. “Road to Character” by David Brooks helps us break down what aspects of our personalities impact our character and how we interact with each other.

This concludes our first collection of episodes which were structured around themes of Loyalty, Power, Opinion, the moral dilemma of the me too movement, and Growth.

Welcome to Two Takes and a Pod - this is our podcast where we give you two takes on our theme of the moment.

For some time we’ve played around with the idea of a podcast for people who look like us and share our experiences. If you get the feeling that means black Africans living in Canada, then yes...you’re absolutely right.
