Carson Aday releases 'Ode To The Strokes'OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Goryl Records 'Ode To The Strokes' is a song of Carson Aday's begging his girlfriend not to leave and go away. It shifts from wondering why she’d make this decision, asking her not to go, and eventually expressing frustration. In the high-energy outro bridge, the vocals end up simply belting high notes behind the guitar solo to convey the pain. When Carson Aday recording the guitars, he wanted tone with a lot of attack so he needed to hit the strings pretty hard. He had a hard time muting the rest of the strings, so his engineer, Justin, took off his sock and tied it around the neck of the guitar. It worked perfectly. They ended up using that take as final. Carson Aday's main influences are: The Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Backseat Lovers, Hippo Campus, Albert Hammond Jr.
