Audubon Nature Institute offers unique week-long summer camp adventures for young animal experts, nature enthusiasts, and campers who love new experiences. Camp days are filled with exploration, games, themed crafts, activities, and more—all in a safe and supervised environment. Camp Information

Camp Time: 9:00 - 3:00 p.m.  
Dates: Session 1: June 3 - 28 | Session 2: July 8 - August 2

Each camp is divided into two (2) four-week sessions with themed curriculum. Campers may register for individual weeks at one or multiple facilities, or for an entire four-week session.

Week 1: June 3rd - 7th

Week 2: June 10th - 14th

Week 3: June 17th - 21st

Week 4: June 24th - 28th

Session 2:

Week 1: July 8th – 12th

Week 2: July 15th - 19th

Week 3: July 22nd - 26th

Week 4: July 29th - August 2nd

Zoo

Ages:
4 - 13 years old

Pricing:
Non-Members: $400 per child per week
Members: $350 per child per week


Aquarium & Insectarium

Ages:
7 - 10 years old

Pricing:
Non-Members: $375 per child per week
Members: $330 per child per week


Nature Center

Ages:
7 - 10 years old

Pricing:
Non-Members: $320 per child per week
Members: $280 per child per week

 

Summer Camp at Audubon Zoo is open to children ages 4-13. Scholarships are available.
Summer Camp at Audubon Aquarium and Audubon Insectarium and Summer Camp at Audubon Louisiana Nature Center are open to children ages 7-10.

Before & After Care Scholarships Summer Camp Manual

Before & After Care

*Before and After Care is available daily. They may be added to your registration and must be purchased in advance for the entire week or session of camp. Space is limited. Drop-in rates will be offered but availability is not guaranteed. If you have any questions, please call (504) 421-6795.

*Extended care is ONLY available for Summer Camps at the Zoo and Aquarium/Insectarium. The Nature Center will not have extended care due to shorter facility operating hours.

8 - 9 AM Daily
Cost $50/week

After Care
3:30 - 5:30 PM Daily
Cost $100/week

Summer Camp Scholarships 

Children ages 4-13 who are eligible for a free or reduced lunch program can apply for an Audubon Summer Camp scholarship. A limited number are available and will be distributed by lottery after the application deadline (April 14).

Scholarship recipient registrations are held separately and are not affected by current registration availability.

Each scholarship includes:

• Registration for one (1) Zoo Camp week or Zoo Krewe session
• Daily Before & After Care for the registered camp week
• One (1) Camp Hat
• Two (2) Camp T-shirts
• One (1) Camp Water Bottle

Summer Camp Manual

Audubon Summer Camps welcome all children, and we do our very best to accommodate all interested campers. Our camps are very active with multiple activity transitions and sensory changes throughout the day. All campers are expected to follow directions and safety rules.
