Those were the words the first boy I ever loved whispered in my ear on graduation weekend.
Naively, I believed him. Now those three little words feel like a bad omen I can’t escape.
Every move I’ve made since I returned to South Chapel hurts my ex-boyfriend, Greedy. But it’s for his benefit. That’s what I tell myself. Intentionally hurting him is for the best.
It has to be. I said goodbye to the possibility of forever with him the moment my mom and his dad “introduced us” at their engagement dinner.
Three years have passed, but that doesn’t matter to Greedy. He’s hell-bent on making sure I remember it all.
On my darkest nights, the memories win. Since his bedroom is just two doors down, he’s the anchor I seek when it all feels like too much.
But now Greedy’s best friend is back in town, and he and I are “dating” to get his meddling mother off his back. Not only is Levi my new fake boyfriend, but he’s also our new roommate, too.
No wrong moves, Greedy assured me years ago.
What if there are no right moves either?
So Wrong is the first book in the Boys of South Chapel series. It is a steamy second chance why choose romance. A full list of tropes and triggers can be found on the author’s website.
Abby Millsaps is an author and storyteller who's been obsessed with writing romance since middle school. In eighth grade, she failed to qualify for the Power of the Pen State Championships because all her submissions contained the same theme: young people falling in love. #LookAtHerNow
She's best known for writing unapologetically angsty romance that causes emotional damage for her readers. Abby prides herself in writing authentic characters while weaving mental health, chronic illness, and neurodiverse representation into the fabric of her stories.
Abby met her husband at a house party the summer before her freshman year of college. He had a secret pizza stashed in the trunk of his car that he was saving for a midnight snack—how was she supposed to resist that level of golden retriever energy and preparedness? When Abby isn't writing, she's reading, traveling, and raising her three daughters.

HOW CAN SOMETHING SO WRONG BE SO RIGHT? 😂💕 I have been patiently awaiting Hunter Season, AND ITS FINALLY HERE, EVERYBODY !
If you know about Hunter from The Boys Of Lake Chapel Series, you’ll know that she’s got a lil somethin somethin going on (or not going on 😉) with her “NOT BROTHER” Greedy. This is their story.
Hunter is back home after spending 3 years overseas, and is living under one roof with her ex boyfriend / now step brother Greedy. The first man she ever loved, who she left in the dust without so much as a word.
Their best friend Levi comes to stay with them after recovering from an injury, so he can be cared for, so basically the gang is back together again.. right? WRONG. SO WRONG ( see what I did there?)
Greedy is dealing with feelings for Hunter that have never faded, Hunter has big secrets of her own that Greedy doesn’t know about, and Levi has secrets of his own that he hasn’t shared with anybody for over 3 years.
This book is split between past and present to give you a glimpse into their past & relationships, but the present is where lines are crossed, and exes come out to play 👀
I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS. SO MANY. And if you’ve seen my stories, it ends on a freakin cliffhanger that is NASTY. JUST DIRTYYYYYY 😂 you did me so dirty, Abby.
This book was perfection, as I know anything Abby writes will be. And I am PATIENTLY IMPATIENTLY waiting for book 2 already.

✨ thank you @abbymillsaps for the ARC copy of So Wrong, it was SO DELICIOUS ✨
We first met Hunter in the Boys of Lake Chapel series, being the FMCs bestie and right hand lady. She’s truly the best friend you could ever want in your corner. I loved finally being able to learn more about her and her story in this first book but oh how it broke my heart for her 😭
Now, let’s talk guys. Greedy aka NOT her brother, we also met in Lake Chapel and tbh wasn’t a huge fan. But seeing how they first met and their relationship in the beginning, I definitely changed my tune. He was so sweet and attentive and everything I would want for her, they were so happy before it all came crashing down. “𝓗𝓮’𝓼 𝓪 𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽 𝓸𝓯 𝓶𝓮. 𝓗𝓮’𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓫𝓮𝓼𝓽 𝓸𝓯 𝓶𝓮.“ On the other hand, Levi 👀🥵 with his country boy charm, has quite literally stolen my heart. “𝓨𝓸𝓾 𝓬𝓪𝓷 𝓬𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓶𝓮 𝓓𝓪𝓲𝓼𝔂, 𝓫𝓾𝓽 𝓸𝓷𝓵𝔂 𝓲𝓯 𝓬𝓪𝓷 𝓬𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓓𝓾𝓴𝓮.”
Hunter has gone through so much and the flashbacks of the past truly had me almost in tears. She’s so authentic and true to herself and hello, a book girlie?! In real life I would absolutely want her in my corner.
At the end we were left on a cliff (NOT OKAY ABBY) and we met the mysterious ‘Spence’ and I am so very intrigued to learn more 😏
Excuse me…..how dare Abby write such perfect men!! Where do I find my own Greedy and Levi?
Hunter is back in Lake Chapel after being gone for three years. Why was she gone you ask? Because her mother is a horrible human being and Hunter thought leaving was her only real option.
Greedy has been waiting three years for a second chance with the girl he fell in love with. They had a perfect summer together, after high school graduation, living their best lives until a bomb was dropped. That bomb changed everything and lead to Hunter leaving without a word. Now that she’s finally returned he’s determined to get her back, however he can have her.
Levi, Hunter and Greedy were best of friends. When Hunter left it wasn’t long after that Levi left for college thousands of miles away from home. The three of them essentially going from spending all their available time together to not speaking. A football injury forces Levi to come back to a home he never intended to return to.
A fake relationship and the need to heal after surgery brings these three back together. Navigating their new normal leads to buried feelings coming back to the surface and fake feelings turning into something unexpected and very real.
After devouring Abby’s BOLC series, I was anxiously awaiting Hunter, Greedy, and Levi’s story. After starting and finishing in one day, I’m left trying to write a review that does it justice without spoiling anything and it’s freaking hard 🤣
Hunter and Greedy have an immediate connection when they meet and quickly fall for one another. Levi is Greedy’s best friend but also becomes very close to Hunter. But then Hunter’s mom and Greedy’s dad get engaged and that, along with some other major events, has forced the three apart for the last 3 years. Levi is now back in South Chapel and recovering from surgery, and the three reconnect… in a way they hadn’t previously before 😏
Hunter has been through A LOT; girl is a tough cookie, and I admire her strength. Levi, too, has had it rough. Both he and Hunter have experience with absolutely terrible parents. But Greedy is the one who has my heart. His devotion to Hunter made me melt, and I spent much of the book just wanting to hug him.
This will be a 4 book series, with book 1 ending on a cliffhanger. But we don’t have to wait long! Book 2 is slated for a July release.
Hunter and Greedy are step-sibilings, so the fact they can't stand to be in the same room as each other makes sense except that's not the reason why. Before they were step-sibilings, they were young and in love without a care in the world, along with best friend Levi they were having the summer of their lives until two catalysts erupted and caused irreparable damage to all three lives. Three years later the trio find themselves under one roof but a lot has changed, and who else is going to throw a spanner in the works?
I'm sure Miss Abby just sets out to hurt me and my poor heart before she eventually fixes it again, I'm getting BOLC flashbacks and poor Kendrick being taken away 😭
My heart hurts so much for Greedy and Hunter, they've had so much pain and torment why can't they just have some happiness finally but oh no, the British invasion has occured to ruin everything, goddamn the English.
But in seriousness I am totally hyped for this series, I already know I'm going to love it and be all about Hunter and her boys but certain people need to do a heck of a lot of redeeming before I'm ready to welcome them with open arms.
10/10⭐️ 1.5/5🌶️ Holy smokes this new series is about to be 🔥!! Already so obsessed with Hunter, Greedy, and Levi and there is so much more to come!!
This book is definitely setting the foundation for SO much more in the coming books, while still having so much richness and depth.
Hunter and Greedy meet right before high school graduation, attending rival schools in Lake Chapel. Their chemistry and connection is intense from the start! But then they get a very big surprise from their parents that change the trajectory of their lives.
Now it’s 3 years later, Hunter and Greedy are living under the same roof. Hunter is trying to move forward, but keeps getting sucked back towards Greedy.
Now Levi is back in Lake Chapel after a football injury, and things take a major turn for all 3 of them.
There are so many secrets, so many dynamics, and so many emotions!
Greedy says there “no wrong moves” but Hunter is finding that there might not be any right moves either. At least no right move that doesn’t leave someone hurt…
“No wrong moves, Temi. You’re my first and my last. I never knew what I was waiting for, but now I know it was you.”
What. The. Heck?! How can I be left hanging for three months!? This book had me hooked and is responsible for another sleepless night. Honesty time- I like Hunter more than Josephine (no one come at me!). I am completely obsessed with Greedy. He is so stinking sweet, attentive, and devoted to his girl. Levi is such a loveable southern boy and I’m excited to see how this relationship continues to bloom. This is such an amazing start to the series and I’m already anxious for more. Be warned, this ends on a major cliffhanger! *This isn’t a dark book, but please check TWs, there is some sensitive content.

I've been awaiting this series for a while, and book 1 did not disappoint.
I absolutely love Hunter and her tenacity to protect and succeed. Learning why she's been fighting her and Greedy’s relationship was emotional yet beautiful.
I'm so glad Levi found his place in the dynamic and how so very protective the three of them are with each other.
I cannot wait to see what else comes in the next book because I know it's gonna be amazing!
Omg… I don’t even know how to react after reading this. My heart is absolutely broken for Hunter. The girl has been through SO much, and you never would have been able to tell the depth of it from Joey’s story. I love that we’re finally able to see Hunter in a new light. The timeline changes are perfect, each scene change keeping me hooked. I am just devastated for Hunter, Greedy and Levi. All three of them have lost so much and I really hope they get something good in the next book! I will be eagerly waiting on the edge of my seat, because South Chapel has truly reeled me in.
Learning Hunter was getting her own book was great. Reading Hunters book was even better. The past and present timeline flows wonderfully. You get to see the reasoning behind some of the present decisions through reading about the past which gives understanding without having to piece it together yourself. The relationships speak for themselves while being built. The jaw dropping cliffhanger was a perfect end to the first book. July cannot come soon enough.
You know... I'm not much of a "then" and "now" person... I've always made it abundantly clear that I want my books in the present. But for So Wrong, it just worked! I really liked seeing Hunter and Greedy in the past vs in the present and seeing Levi being there for both. Hunter definitely has a lot to work on, but book 1 had me chomping at the bit for the future books in this series! Can't wait to see where this why choose romance takes us!
When I Learned that we will be getting Hunter's Story it made me so happy. So wrong flawlessly narrates the past and present timelines of Hunter's journey and helps us in understanding all the decisions which was made. I Absolutely cannot wait to read what happens next.
Another 5 star read from Abby!! I honestly didn’t think anything or anyone could top decker and his team for me, but greedy came in and stole my heart and made me absolutely fall in LOVE . Hunters story is full is so much heartbreak but also so so much angst, dedication love and locality. I’ll be sitting here (Im) patiently waiting for the next release in this series. I need more 😭😭
