Woodland Health Day of Service - Volunteers Needed |
|
Join us for a day of service pulling an aggressive weed, garlic mustard, from the sensitive habitat at the parks. Medina County Park District Staff and OSU Extension Master Gardeners Volunteers of Medina County will educate about the habitat garlic mustard threatens and about some of the wildflowers we are protecting. You will learn everything you need to know about identifying and removing this invasive species. This is an excellent way to give back to your community and ensure a healthy park for future generations.
This volunteer opportunity is for all ages 7 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Groups, families and individuals are welcome. Please register EACH person participating. This is an outdoor activity, so dress appropriately. Bring your own work gloves and drink.
Physical distancing will be practiced by maintaining 6-foot distance between people. Properly wearing a mask is expected for the duration of the event. There will be no communal or shared materials.
Individuals CANNOT attend the event if they or anyone living their household is experiencing any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath.
