Check in will be on the day of the Workshop, Wednesday April 10th from 9:00 am – 10:00 am in Studio 1. Here, you will receive your name tag. Please wear your name tag for every class so our faculty can get to know you throughout the day.

Depending on your age you will be placed in Group 1 or 2.

Joffrey Ballet School is committed to providing an inclusive environment for all students. Class Attire

Ballet:

• Option 1: Any color leotard, skin tone or pink tights, skin tone or light pink ballet shoes. Pointe shoes (pointe is not mandatory; only bring pointe shoes if you are comfortable taking class on pointe).
• Option 2: Fitted T-shirt, black tights, skin tone or black ballet shoes.

Musical Theater and Jazz & Contemporary: 

• Option 1: Any color leotard, jazz pants, black tights, biker shorts, fishnet tights, or other tight, athletic clothing. Flexible character shoes of the Laduca variety are encouraged and/or Jazz shoes. 
• Option 2: Fitted T-shirt, jazz pants, black tights, biker shorts, or other fitted athletic clothing. Jazz shoes.

Hip Hop:

• Any comfortable clothing and sneakers.

General Attire:

• Students will not be allowed to be in their street clothes for any class.
• General appearance should be tidy. Students should approach each day as if they are preparing for an audition.
• Clothes should be tight fitting. No baggy/sloppy clothes are permitted. Loose clothing is acceptable for Hip Hop class only.
• No oversized jewelry. Short nails are encouraged.

No parents, guardians or visitors are allowed to watch class. All students must be dropped off outside, in front of the building entrance. Minors can be accompanied into the building for registration purposes. Parents are not allowed to stay in the studios or hallways.

• Students 18 and younger are not allowed to leave the building without a guardian.
• Parents are welcome to drop off meals for their students at the studio.

There will be no escorted trips during lunch breaks to/from the studios. Students must pack a lunch and snacks to eat between meals.

Joffrey Ballet School does not offer student housing for the Joffrey Australia workshop.

The Administrative team consists of Program Managers, Administrative Assistants and Faculty. The team facilitates daily operations and handles crises or emergencies should they arise.
